FAQ

  • Do you offer postpartum support?
Yes! I provide postpartum doula services to help you transition smoothly into parenthood. This includes breastfeeding support, newborn care guidance, emotional support, and light household assistance.
  • When should I hire a birth doula?
It’s ideal to hire a birth doula early in your pregnancy so we can build a relationship and prepare together for your desired birth experience. However, I can also provide support closer to your due date if needed.
  • What is a birth doula, and what do they do?
A birth doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a birthing person before, during, and shortly after childbirth. My role is to advocate for your preferences, offer comfort measures like massage and positioning, and help you feel empowered throughout your birthing journey.
  • What if I already have a partner or family member as my support person?
A doula complements your support team, not replaces them. I work alongside your loved ones to enhance their ability to support you while ensuring everyone stays informed and calm during the process.
  • Do you only support natural births?
Not at all! I support all types of births, including natural, medicated, VBAC, cesarean, and home births. My goal is to honor your preferences and help you feel supported, no matter your birthing choices.
  • Do you provide grief support after the death of a loved one?
Yes, I offer grief support for families, including one-on-one sessions to process emotions and find healing. My goal is to provide a compassionate presence and resources during this difficult time.
  • Can you work with my faith or cultural beliefs?
Absolutely. As a Christian doula, I respect all faiths and cultural practices. My services are tailored to honor your beliefs and traditions, ensuring that the support you receive aligns with your values.
  • What is an end-of-life doula, and what do they do?
An end-of-life doula provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to individuals and their families as they navigate terminal illness or the dying process. I help create a peaceful environment, facilitate meaningful conversations, and assist with legacy planning to ensure your final wishes are honored.
  • When should I hire an end-of-life doula?
You can hire an end-of-life doula at any stage of a terminal illness or even before a diagnosis if you’re looking to plan for your future. Earlier engagement allows us more time to create a meaningful and personalized experience.
  • How is an end-of-life doula different from hospice care?
Hospice care focuses on medical support and pain management, while an end-of-life doula provides non-medical, holistic care. I focus on emotional and spiritual needs, legacy projects, and providing comfort to both the individual and their family.
